This year’s Keros International Embryo Transfer (ET) Course promises something genuinely different. For our 16th edition, we’ve designed two dynamic days of cutting-edge knowledge and practical skill-building—plus exclusive pre-recorded lectures to help you get the most out of every session.

What is included?

Online Pre-recorded Lectures on Basic ET Techniques

  • Participants will have access to prerecorded lectures, available online 3 weeks before the course. 
  • Online lectures will cover all the necessary basic techniques to prepare you for the wet labs on Sunday. 
  • Online lectures will include embryo collection, embryo searching, handling & evaluation, embryo shipping, embryo transfer, thawing, and handling of frozen ICSI embryos.

Advanced Lectures on Saturday at the BMCC

On Saturday, an exceptional international team of renowned experts will deliver in-depth presentations on a wide variety of topics. This is more than a day of lectures —it’s an interactive experience. You can submit your questions in advance and join live Q&A sessions designed to spark discussion between speakers and participants. Whether you’re starting or you're already experienced, you’ll leave with state-of-the-art insights and confidence to apply the latest techniques.

  • Choosing the right flushing media and materials
  • Pinpointing optimal timing
  • Embryo evaluation, shipment, and cryopreservation
  • Recipient mare management and selection
  • Best practices for fresh and frozen-thawed ICSI embryos

Wet labs on Sunday at the KEROS ET Center

  • For the starting ET veterinarian, a full day of practical, hands-on wetlabs under the expert guidance of Pat McCue, Anthony Claes, Denis Necchi, and Peter Daels. 
  • Participation is limited to 18 veterinarians to ensure the best learning experience.
  • Individualized embryo collection on purpose-bred mares.
  • Embryo searching, evaluation, and manipulation with real equine embryos at your "individual embryo station"
  • Thawing and manipulating vitrified and slow-frozen ICSI embryos
  • Demonstration with participant participation of embryo transfer by the manual and the Wilsher technique.

When and Where:

  • Saturday, lectures at the BMCC, Bruges (9:00 - 17:00).
  • Saturday night, dinner at your own discretion.
  • Sunday morning, transfer from Bruges to the Keros ET Center in Beselare. A shuttle will take you from the BMCC in Bruges to the Keros ET Center in Beselare. The bus leaves at 7:45.
  • Wetlabs will take place at the Keros ET Center, Hoenstraat 7, 8980 Zonnebeke (Google Maps).
  • Wetlabs will end at 17:00 sharp. 
  • Return to Bruges, the Ypres train station, or Brussels airport can be arranged on an individual basis (not included in the registration fee). The transfer to the Ypres/Ieper train station takes 20 minutes. Train schedules to Brussels Airport are available at https://www.b-europe.com/EN. Airport Taxi can be arranged upon request, and the transfer takes about 90 minutes. Return to Bruges will be organized on an individual basis.

  • Strictly limited to 18 participants (first-come, first-served).
  • Fee Includes pre-recorded lectures, access to the advanced lectures on Saturday at the BMCC in Bruges, and the wetlabs on Sunday at the Keros ET Center in Beselare. 
  • Also included are coffee breaks and lunches on both days, as well as one-way transportation from BMCC in Bruges to the Keros ET Center in Beselare on Sunday morning.
  • Registration is only possible in combination with the ESER-2026 Symposium.
  • Fee does not include registration for the ESER-2026 Symposium.
