Stallion Management and Semen Handling Course
What is included:
This 2-day course is designed for veterinarians who want to improve their skills in stallion management, semen collection, semen handling, cooled-storage & shipment, and freezing.
On Saturday, formal lectures will provide in-depth insights into the latest scientific developments in semen evaluation and manipulation, stallion management, and diagnosis.
On Sunday, the wet labs will provide plenty of time to learn/practice semen collection, semen evaluation, cooled-storage preparation, cryopreservation, and shipment procedures, as well as cryopreservation of epididymal sperm after sudden death or castration. Participation in the wet labs on Sunday is limited to 15 veterinarians to ensure a highly interactive, small-group experience.

Equipment for handling and storing frozen semen

Safe working practices with liquid nitrogen
Understanding paperwork and health certificates

Lectures on Saturday at the BMCC and wet labs and ERC De Morette, Edingsesteenweg 239, 1730 Asse (close to Brussels - Google Maps )
Getting to the ERC De Morette is easy. A free shuttle will take you from the BMCC Congress Center to the ERC De Morette (departure at 7:45 on Sunday morning). Return to Bruges and transport to the Brussels airport on Sunday afternoon can be arranged on an individual basis.

Strictly limited to 15 participants (first-come, first-served).
Registration fee includes: Lectures on Saturday at BMCC, and wet labs on Sunday at ERC De Morette.
Also included are coffee breaks and lunches on both days, as well as one-way transportation from Bruges to the ERC De Morette on Sunday morning. A transfer back to Bruges or Brussels Airport can be arranged on an individual basis if needed.
Registration is only possible in combination with the ESER-2026 Symposium.
Registration fee does not include registration to the ESER-2026 Symposium.
