Hands-on, practical course for the beginning ET veterinarian
Get Ready for a New Kind of Keros ET Course!
This year’s Keros International Embryo Transfer (ET) Course promises something genuinely different. For our 16th edition, we’ve designed two dynamic days of cutting-edge knowledge and practical skill-building—plus exclusive pre-recorded lectures to help you get the most out of every session.
Three Comprehensive Parts (limited to 18 participants)
1. Pre-recorded Introductory Lectures - At home, at your own pace, before the course dates
About three weeks before the course, every participant will receive a set of recorded video lectures by Pat McCue and Peter Daels. These sessions provide a solid foundation in equine ET, ensuring you can fully benefit from the advanced presentations on Saturday and be fully prepared for the practical training on Sunday. Watching these lectures is an essential preparation for the live sessions and wet labs.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of:
- Embryo flushing, searching, and manipulation
- Embryo shipping and transfer
- Warming and handling frozen-thawed ICSI embryos
- Managing recipient mares
2. Advanced Live Lectures - Saturday, October 17 – BMCC Congress Center, Bruges, Belgium
Join an international team of renowned experts in equine ET for a full day of in-depth lectures and discussion on every aspect of equine ET, including:
- Selecting the ideal flushing media and equipment
- Optimizing timing for best results
- Embryo evaluation, shipment, and cryopreservation
- Recipient mare management and selection
- Best practices for fresh and frozen-thawed ICSI embryos
- Preparing donor and recipient mares at the start of the season
- Managing twinning in ICSI embryos
- …and much more
Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive update on the latest science and technology in equine embryo collection, manipulation, transport, transfer, and freezing, as well as donor and recipient management. This part of the course is open to all veterinarians, whether you are new to ET or looking to refine advanced skills, and will allow an efficient exchange of experience between starting and advanced colleagues.
