Located in Putten, in the center of the Netherlands, Equiception was founded in 2016 and is an EU-certified embryo production center. Since 2020, we have been establishing our ICSI and Genetics laboratory. Commercial ICSI services have been offered since 2022, yielding excellent results.

Since March 2025, Equiception has been a proud partner and part of Equine Care Group. This collaboration strengthens our position as a leading center in equine breeding and allows us to optimize and expand our services. By joining forces, we are better able to meet the needs of our clients, with a broader range of expertise and capabilities in equine genetics, reproduction, and welfare.

We are a group of motivated professionals who combine theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical experience to tailor an approach that yields the best results for your mare. Our professional team aims to be a leading center in equine fertility, providing high-quality, results-driven services that prioritize client satisfaction. With stabling for > 90 mares, we can house donor mares for longer periods or client-owned recipients who will receive embryos made in our laboratory. We offer OPU appointments for clients and other clinics can send their oocytes to us to perform ICSI our own Equiception Genetics laboratory. At request of the client we can send oocytes to other centers for ICSI as well.

Equiception manages its own recipient mare herd of approximately 250 recipient mares, improving success and maximizing convenience for our clients.
