Comme Il Faut
Sperm: frozen
The father of Comme Il Faut, Cornet Obolensky, started his success story in showjumping breeding after his triumph at the stallion selection in Münster-Handorf in 2001. Numerous licensed sons document the sire's status as a top sire. His sporting successes under Marco Kutscher create great expectations. The dam is the Olympic mare Ratina Z, who under the saddle of Piet Raymakers and Ludger Beerbaum collected a prize money of more than 1 million €.
Ratina Z's sire is the world-class progenitor Ramiro Z. Dam Argentina Z descends from the pre-eminent French showjumping horse progenitor Almé. Grandam Heureka Z was also an international showjumping mare. She won the Grand Prix of Aachen in 1970 with Hermann Schridde in the saddle.
After his 70-day test with a jumping index of 140.25, Comme Il Faut won jumping tests and qualifications for the Bundeschampionat in series.
The highlight was the World Championships for young show jumpers in Lanaken. There Comme Il Faut won the vice-world title.

Approved for: Holstein, Olderburg, Selle Français, Hannover, Westfalen, Rheinland, SWB, KWPN, BWP
Cornet Obolensky has profiled himself for several years now, in addition to his international sport career under Marco Kutscher, as "the Westphalian showjumping horse progenitor of our time". With already more than 40 licensed sons, among them the champion stallions Cornado, Coshinus and Coronas, the title of best NRW sire with 3- and 4-year old offspring in the sport and a breeding value assessment of 165 points in 2009, Cornet Obolensky still belongs to the "top 10" of best showjumping sires in Germany.
Jazzy Des Dames
Sperm: fresh, frozen
Approved for: Zangersheide, AES
He is one of the absolute eye catchers of the Lannoo Stallion Competition Powered by Euro Horse, for the seven year old stallions and he joins the stallion selection of Hippo Lux.
With Thiago Ribas da Costa the, for Zangersheide/AES-approved brown, stallion was impossible to skip out of the top five. In the final ranking over the three heats and the final the stallion ran to a second place.
Jazzy des Dames does not come from nowhere. The seven-year-old stallion is a son of living legend Emerald van 't Ruytershof. His mother is a combination of the top genes of Calvaro Z and Kannan. It does not get much better than that!
Thiago Ribas da Costa is the Brazilian rider of the stallion: "Jazzy des Dames combines size, power, sharpness, elasticity and a natural carefulness. He combines that with a great mentality in the arena. He is the best young horse I have ridden in my career. Jazzy has a very bright future in the sport and in breeding. He has everything. It is a pleasure to have a stallion like that under the saddle for a few years now and I hope I can keep on riding him.
"Jazzy Des Dames thus joins the exclusive list of Comme Il Faut, Cornet Obelensky and Urano de Cartigny, three top stallions who are also on the Hippo-Lux menu. "The fact that Jazzy is in this list means that we have a lot of confidence in the stallion." indicates Geert Helsen of Hippo-Lux in Glabbeek. "We see in Jazzy a very promising stallion who has already shown his talent in the Stallion Competition and in the Cycle for Young Horses. When we look at his first offspring, he also seems to invariably pass on his innate qualities."
URANO DE CARTIGNY
Sperm: frozen
Approved for: Selle Français
Urano de Cartigny inherited the popular performance blood of his sire, the top progenitor Diamant de Semilly. Diamant is ranked second in the most recent WBFSH-ranking for the best suppliers of showjumping horses worldwide. In partnership with Eric Levallois, Diamant has proven himself at the highest level in the showjumping world, including the golden team medal during the Jerez de la Frontera 2002 World Equestrian Games, the silver team medal during the Donaueschingen 2003 European championship and the first place at the French national showjumping championship. Diamant also confirms via his offspring. A great number of descendants are performing at international five-star circuit.
One of them is Urano de Cartigny. He has performance blood not only in his sire line, but also in his dam line. His dam, Esperance d’Elle (sire: Double Espoir) not only produced Urano de Cartigny, but also the successful showjumper Poesie de Cartigny (at the age of five ‘Elite’ during the ‘Grande Semaine de l’Elevage’). Moreover, Esperance d’Elle is a full sister to Flipper d’Elle. Laurent Goffinet and Flipper d’Elle wrote history in the international showjumping world. Several times they made part of the winning French team, for instance in Dublin, Rotterdam, Gijon and Sankt-Gallen. They also participated at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen en won several Grand Prix classes.
In 2017, the nine-year-old Urano de Cartigny made his five-star début, under the saddle of Pénélope Leprevost. This duet collected many top-10 placings at 1m55 to 1m60 level, for instance in Stuttgart, Lyon, Valkenswaard, Saint-Tropez and Dinard (5th in the Rolex GP). From May 2018 until September 2018, Nicolas Delmotte wrote the sequel to Urano’s international success story. In October 2018, we saw Urano in partnership with Felicie Bertrand. They ended for instance 10th in the Liverpool GP (1m60, four-stars). Despite the fact that Urano was ridden by several riders, he kept on performing at the highest level.
Urano de Cartigny has much suppleness. He is a noble stallion. We can see the result of his unique pedigree in sports and breeding. He jumps with many scope, intelligence, power, carefulness and suppleness, in other words with qualities of winners. Thanks to Hippo-Lux you can integrate those extremely valuable qualities in your studfarm.
