Hans Hurkmans is a Dutch embryo-transfer specialist and the founder and owner of Hurkmans ET, one of the leading European centers for bovine and equine embryo technologies. Based in the Netherlands, Hurkmans ET operates EU-approved embryo production laboratories and donor facilities serving both the cattle and horse industries.
Hans Hurkmans has spent more than four decades working in the cattle and horse breeding industries. He has been involved in bovine embryo transfer and Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) since 1989 and has worked with equine embryo transfer since 2001. Under his leadership, Hurkmans ET has evolved from a traditional embryo-transfer practice into a full-service reproductive biotechnology company offering embryo transfer (ET), OPU, in vitro embryo production (IVP), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), embryo freezing, storage, and international embryo transport.
Today, Hans serves as General Manager and ET/OPU Specialist at Hurkmans ET. The organization performs hundreds of OPU-ICSI procedures annually and collaborates with breeders throughout Europe and beyond. His work has contributed significantly to the adoption of advanced reproductive technologies in both cattle and horses.
