José Cintra Cunha Neto is a Brazilian equine veterinarian and the founder of Equicenter Reprodução in Tatuí, São Paulo. Known professionally as “Zezé” Cintra, he has more than three decades of experience in equine veterinary medicine, breeding and reproductive management.
He founded Equicenter in 1988 and has since played an active role in the development of equine reproduction services in Brazil. His professional activities have focused particularly on the management and breeding of sport horses, reproductive management of mares and stallions, semen management and advanced assisted reproductive technologies.
Today, he oversees the reproductive management of recipient mares for ICSI-produced and cloned embryos at Equicenter Reprodução, while also being involved in the administrative and operational management of the center. Equicenter provides reproductive services to breeders of different horse breeds, with a particular focus on Brazilian and international sport-horse breeding and genetics.
