Marco graduated from the University of Milan in 1988 with a degree in veterinary medicine. He worked at Turangga Stud in Australia and as a resident vet at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland. In 1991, he joined Veterinari Associati Ippovet as an associate and works as a theriogenologist. He was the coordinator of SIRE (Italian Society of Equine Reproduction) from 2000 to 2002 and President of SIVE (Italian Society of Equine Practitioners) from 2008 to 2010. Since 2016/2017, he has been an adjunct professor at the Veterinary University of Milan. He is co-author of the DVD "Atlante di Ecografia Equina" and the Veterinary Advances Apps "Equine Reproductive Ultrasound" and "Advanced Equine Reproductive Ultrasound".
