Rob Foss is a leading equine reproduction specialist and co-founder of Equine Medical Services, established in 1986 in Columbia, Missouri. A native of northeast Missouri, he graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and completed an internship at Iowa State University before dedicating his career to equine practice and reproductive medicine.
Rob is widely recognized for his pioneering work in non-surgical equine embryo transfer, helping transform the technique from an experimental procedure into a routine tool in modern breeding programs. Through his clinical work and research, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in horses, including embryo transfer, oocyte aspiration, and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Under his leadership, Equine Medical Services has developed one of the most active commercial embryo transfer programs in the United States. Rob is not unknow to the ESER and is coming back to share his knowledge and experience in the OPU-ICSI Symposium and the Advanced Equine ET Workshop.
